Cloud Engineer – AWS & Azure (Terraform, CI/CD)

About the role

We are partnering with a leading financial services organisation to hire a seasoned Cloud Engineer. You will design, build, and scale secure, resilient cloud infrastructure across AWS and Azure, driving automation and end‑to‑end project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and maintain scalable cloud environments on AWS and/or Azure.
• Develop and standardise Infrastructure‑as‑Code using advanced Terraform modules.
• Create and manage CI/CD pipelines with Bitbucket, Jenkins and Terraform.
• Collaborate with development, security, QA and product teams to deliver cloud solutions aligned with business goals.
• Optimise infrastructure for cost, performance and reliability.
• Set up monitoring, logging and alerting (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor) and apply SRE practices.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5–7 years of experience in cloud engineering or DevOps.
• Proven track record delivering complex cloud projects end‑to‑end.
• Strong delivery discipline and ability to manage timelines and risks.

Required skills

• Advanced Terraform (modules, state management, multi‑environment).
• Hands‑on experience with AWS services (EC2, VPC, IAM, RDS, Lambda, etc.).
• Hands‑on experience with Azure services (VMs, VNets, Azure AD, App Services, etc.).
• CI/CD pipeline design and automation (Bitbucket, Jenkins, Terraform).
• Scripting in Python, Bash and PowerShell.
• Containerisation and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Configuration management tools (e.g., Chef).
• Monitoring tools (CloudWatch, Azure Monitor) and SRE principles.
