Cloud Engineer

About the role

The Cloud Engineer will manage and enhance the Government Cloud (GCC) Microsoft Azure environment, ensuring it remains stable, secure, and performant. You will lead Azure projects from design through deployment while collaborating with application, infrastructure, and network teams.

Key responsibilities

• Operate day‑to‑day Azure GCC 1.0 and 2.0 infrastructure, monitoring stability, performance and security.
• Lead Azure cloud projects from planning, design, deployment to documentation.
• Design, configure and manage Azure Virtual Networks, Subnets, NSGs, Load Balancers, WAF policies and DNS.
• Set up route tables, virtual network peerings and hybrid/multi‑region architectures.
• Integrate syslog solutions and maintain Azure Log Analytics Workspace for monitoring and auditing.
• Manage SSL certificates for WAF and firewall components.
• Automate provisioning and configuration with Terraform following IaC standards.
• Ensure compliance with security best practices and organizational policies.
• Participate in incident response, root‑cause analysis and continuous performance optimisation.

Required profile

• Microsoft Azure Administrator Associate (AZ‑104) certification (mandatory).
• Cisco Certified Networking Associate (CCNA) – a plus.
• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in IT, Computing or related field.
• 2–3 years of hands‑on experience with Azure GCC environments.
• Proven experience using Terraform for Azure automation.
• Good understanding of ITIL processes (Incident, Problem, Change, Configuration Management).
