Cloud Migration Technical Lead

About the role

The Cloud Migration Technical Lead is a senior engineering position responsible for driving end‑to‑end virtual machine migrations from on‑premise environments to Microsoft Azure. The role operates within a managed services model, delivering advanced technical support and ensuring continuous service availability across cloud, networking, security, and infrastructure domains.

Key responsibilities

• Lead full‑cycle VM migration projects to Azure using Azure Migrate, covering assessment, design, execution, validation, cut‑over and stabilization.
• Plan and execute migration strategies such as rehost, replatform and modernization, while identifying dependencies, risks and mitigation actions.
• Design and implement Azure Virtual Machine environments, hybrid networking, disaster recovery, backup and high‑availability solutions.
• Provide fourth‑level (L4) technical support, perform deep root‑cause analysis and resolve escalated incidents within SLA.
• Maintain accurate ticket documentation, drive automation opportunities and conduct quality audits.
• Collaborate with application, infrastructure and business teams to align migration outcomes with business objectives.

Required profile

• Senior engineering experience leading Azure VM migration initiatives.
• Proven ability to work independently on complex escalations and deliver managed‑services outcomes.
• Strong collaboration and communication skills with cross‑functional stakeholders.
