Cloud Security Engineer

About the role

ScienTec Consulting is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to join its hybrid team in Singapore. You will design, develop, and maintain secure, scalable cloud applications and infrastructure while driving automation and security best‑practice adoption.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain secure, scalable applications, APIs and automation solutions using modern programming languages and cloud technologies.
• Implement and manage cloud‑native infrastructure, DevOps/DevSecOps pipelines, containerised workloads and Infrastructure‑as‑Code (IaC) across AWS and Azure.
• Develop and enhance endpoint security, identity and access management, Zero Trust and threat detection solutions.
• Build observability, monitoring and Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) capabilities to ensure system reliability and performance.
• Evaluate emerging technologies, drive automation initiatives and support continuous improvement across security and cloud platforms.

Required profile

• Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related discipline.
• 4–7 years of experience in software engineering, cloud engineering or a related field.
• Strong hands‑on experience with AWS and/or Azure, Terraform, CI/CD pipelines, Docker, Kubernetes and Git.
• Good understanding of cybersecurity principles, Zero Trust architectures, identity and access management and endpoint security.
