CNC Operations Manager

About the role

The Operations Manager will lead the daily activities of our CNC precision‑engineering facility in Singapore. You will be responsible for meeting production targets, maintaining quality standards, ensuring on‑time delivery, and controlling costs while upholding safety and customer satisfaction.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, organise and supervise daily production, allocating manpower, machines and resources to maximise productivity.
• Oversee CNC turning, CNC milling, EDM, grinding and secondary machining processes, ensuring correct set‑up, tooling and cutting parameters.
• Monitor machine performance, minimise downtime and drive process optimisation to improve machining efficiency.
• Ensure products meet customer specifications, lead root‑cause analysis and implement corrective actions in line with ISO 9001.
• Develop and track production schedules, coordinate material availability with procurement and manage work‑in‑progress and inventory levels.
• Supervise production supervisors, CNC programmers, machinists and operators, conduct training and performance appraisals.
• Liaise with customers on production status, support engineering changes and new product introductions.
• Control manufacturing costs, reduce cycle times, waste and tooling expenses.

Required profile

• Proven experience in managing CNC‑based manufacturing operations.
• Strong ability to plan, schedule and coordinate production activities.
• Demonstrated leadership in supervising technical teams and driving continuous improvement.
• Familiarity with quality management systems, particularly ISO 9001.
• Excellent communication skills for customer and cross‑functional coordination.
