Coastal Engineering Engineer – Singapore

About the role

Join Surbana Jurong's leading Coastal Engineering business in Singapore. You will contribute to multi‑disciplinary projects that shape coastal adaptation, reclamation, and marine infrastructure worldwide.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in planning and designing civil engineering projects such as land reclamation, port construction and other coastal structures.
• Support the Executive Engineer/Design Manager with site investigation planning, results interpretation, and C&S, environmental and geotechnical design for quay walls, jetties, revetments and reclamation works.
• Manage sub‑contracts (soil investigation, biodiversity, accredited checker) and main contracts.
• Supervise design and/or site activities to ensure compliance with statutory standards, regulations and codes of practice.
• Engage and coordinate with stakeholders including clients, design teams and site teams.
• Assist tender preparation and other departmental initiatives such as beach clean‑ups and team events.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Environmental Engineering recognised by BCA/IES/ACES from a reputable university.
• Fresh graduates are welcome; up to 5 years experience in large‑scale infrastructure or reclamation projects is a plus.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Team‑player with the ability to multitask, disciplined, self‑motivated and resource‑oriented.
