Coffeeshop Restaurant Chef

About the role

We are looking for a dynamic Coffeeshop Restaurant Chef to lead the kitchen of our Little India outlet. You will be responsible for creating and delivering high-quality northwest cuisine dishes such as ramen and dumplings while ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Direct and participate in the preparation, seasoning, and cooking of northwest cuisine dishes.
• Plan and price menu items, order supplies, and maintain accurate records and accounts.
• Monitor and control stock levels to optimise inventory.
• Maintain and improve food profit margins for the coffee shop.
• Recruit, train, and, when necessary, dismiss kitchen staff.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety standards.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience as a chef.
• Ability to stand for long periods and work flexible or split shifts.
• Willingness to work on public holidays and weekends.
• Leadership and management capability.

Required skills

• Food preparation and cooking techniques for ramen, dumplings and related dishes.
• Menu planning and pricing.
• Inventory and stock management.
• Profit margin analysis.
