College Intern – PVD Process & Hardware Development for Micro‑OLED & AI Chip Regulators

About the role

Join Applied Materials as a College Intern to work on physical vapor deposition (PVD) chambers for emerging micro‑OLED films and integrated voltage regulators for AI chips. You will collaborate with engineers on complex experiments, data collection, and analysis to advance PVD technology.

Key responsibilities

• Optimize PVD processes and measure metal film properties, preparing data and reports for review.
• Perform hardware characterization on moderately difficult systems while adhering to safety guidelines.
• Troubleshoot moderately complex problems, conduct root‑cause analysis, and resolve process engineering issues under engineer guidance.

Required profile

• Enrolled in a college program related to semiconductor, materials science, or electrical engineering.
• Strong analytical mindset with the ability to think critically and propose creative solutions.
• Effective communication skills to discuss findings and articulate ideas confidently.
