Commis – Food & Beverage Team Member

About the role

The Commis will support the kitchen and food‑and‑beverage team at our luxury hotel in Singapore. Working under the Chef, you will prepare meals, maintain food quality, and assist with service operations to ensure a seamless guest experience.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, cold dishes and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate ovens, broilers, grills and roasters, and monitor temperature and cooking times.
• Thaw frozen items, portion and garnish dishes, and maintain accurate food logs.
• Communicate with the Chef and service staff about specials, out‑of‑stock items and excess inventory.
• Assist in hiring, training, scheduling and evaluating team members as required.
• Follow all safety, security and hygiene policies, report incidents and maintain a clean, professional appearance.
• Perform physical tasks such as lifting up to 25 lb, standing for long periods and reaching overhead.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school education.
• Minimum three years of relevant kitchen or food‑service experience.
• No supervisory experience required.
• Ability to work full‑time in a fast‑paced hospitality environment.
