Community Growth Specialist

About the role

Supermom is looking for a Community Growth Specialist to own the expansion and vitality of its private parenting groups in Singapore and Malaysia. You will lead a team of WhatsApp group admins, drive daily engagement, and bring online members together through offline events.

Key responsibilities

• Own member growth across Singapore and Malaysia private groups via partnerships, referral programmes, digital campaigns and organic routes.
• Lead and support a team of group admins, setting standards for tone, response times, moderation and escalation.
• Drive daily engagement with conversation starters, polls, themed sessions, giveaways and innovative formats.
• Plan and execute community events from concept to on‑site support, ensuring members reconnect in person.
• Design and refine the onboarding journey so new members feel welcomed within their first week.
• Set growth targets with the Head of Community, prioritise segments and adjust plans based on results.
• Track group health metrics (growth, retention, participation, drop‑off) and act on insights.
• Identify and collaborate with parenting groups, key opinion makers and partners to attract the right members.

Required profile

• 2‑4 years of experience in community management, social media or growth marketing, preferably in Singapore or Malaysia parenting/women’s lifestyle space.
• Outgoing and people‑focused, able to warm up quiet chats and make newcomers feel noticed.
• Creative with a strong instinct for engagement formats that generate replies.
• Fluent in WhatsApp community dynamics, including group limits, admin tools and broadcast behaviour.
• Experienced in guiding a small team of admins without micromanaging.
• Comfortable supporting live events, including occasional weekends (off‑in‑lieu provided).
• Data‑driven, able to interpret engagement and retention numbers to define next actions.
• Calm and fair moderator with sound judgement on conflict, spam and sensitive conversations.
• Excellent communication skills in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
• Comfortable with AI‑powered community and automation tools, curious about their benefits and limits.
