Compliance Associate – Singapore

About the role

We are looking for a Compliance Associate to support our Singapore branch in identifying, assessing and mitigating compliance risks. The role will work closely with business units to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations and internal policies, and to provide reasonable assurance that the bank operates within the regulatory framework.

Key responsibilities

• Review KYC documentation for new account openings and conduct transaction screening in line with Group AML policies.
• Prepare and update compliance policies and procedures to reflect local regulations and Group standards.
• Provide advice and support to business units on regulatory impacts of laws, rules and capital‑markets products.
• Deliver training to staff on regulatory changes and best practices.
• Monitor regulatory developments relevant to the Singapore branch and incorporate them into compliance frameworks.
• Assist in the preparation of regulatory filings, reports, STRs and self‑assessments.
• Perform compliance reviews of business units according to the monitoring plan.
• Respond to information requests from regulators, internal and external auditors.
• Support ad‑hoc compliance projects as required.

Required profile

• Degree in Finance, Accounting, Law or related field.
• Minimum three years of experience in compliance or audit within the banking sector.
• Strong knowledge of regulatory compliance and AML requirements for banking.
• Proficiency in written and spoken English.
• Customer‑oriented, self‑motivated and able to work under pressure.

Required skills

• Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) proficiency.
