Contract / Commercial Manager (Construction)

About the role

The Contract / Commercial Manager will lead contract administration for civil and infrastructure projects, ensuring compliance and profitability. Based in West – Pioneer, the role involves close interaction with clients, consultants, and subcontractors to drive successful project delivery.

Key responsibilities

• Review, draft, and negotiate contracts, sub‑contracts and agreements with clients, consultants and subcontractors.
• Maintain up‑to‑date contract documents and correspondence.
• Identify, prepare and submit claims, variations and extension‑of‑time requests.
• Negotiate claim and variation settlements with stakeholders.
• Track cost performance to protect project profitability.
• Evaluate contractual risks and recommend mitigation strategies.
• Ensure compliance with laws, regulations and industry standards.
• Advise project teams on contractual rights, duties and liabilities.
• Support project managers in resolving commercial and contractual issues.
• Prepare periodic contract management reports for senior management.

Required profile

• Degree in Civil Engineering, Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Law or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of contract management experience in road construction, civil works or infrastructure projects.
• Proven track record in claims preparation, dispute resolution and cost control.
• Strong negotiation, communication and analytical abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Experience with contract management software.
• Familiarity with project documentation tools.
