Customer Engineer – Field Service (Singapore)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Customer Engineer to serve as the direct liaison with customers in Singapore. You will install, maintain, and upgrade semiconductor and display equipment, using digital analytics and diagnostic techniques to ensure optimal performance.

Key responsibilities

• Perform Tier I service activities independently and Tier II with assistance, including routine preventative maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems.
• Respond to fab issues, participate in escalation calls, and verify operational quality of equipment.
• Coordinate with customers to plan support, communicate status, and ensure complete customer satisfaction.

Required profile

• Physically able to walk, stand for long periods, work in tight spaces, lift up to 35 lb, and use hand and power tools while wearing clean‑room PPE.
• Understands how your duties integrate with the broader team and can solve typical technical problems without supervisory approval.

Required skills

• Proficiency with digital analytics tools for troubleshooting.
• Ability to read circuit diagrams and use test equipment.
• Knowledge of electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas system components.
