Customer Engineer – Field Service (Singapore)

About the role

Applied Materials is seeking a Customer Engineer to serve as the direct liaison with customers in Singapore. You will install, maintain, and upgrade semiconductor and display equipment, using digital analytics and basic diagnostics to resolve technical issues.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with Senior Field Service Engineers to install, maintain, and upgrade customer equipment.
• Use digital analytics for troubleshooting and apply basic diagnostic techniques.
• Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on electrical, vacuum, mechanical, plasma, hydraulic, and gas systems (training provided).
• Coordinate and communicate directly with customers to ensure smooth operations.
• Fulfill additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate degree, military technical training, field service experience, or trade certification.
• 1–2 years of experience in customer/field service support or a related technical field.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical and mechanical schematics.
• Experience diagnosing and resolving basic technical challenges.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to obtain a passport for travel.
