Customer Service Specialist – Shipping & Logistics

About the role

Pacific International Lines (PIL) is seeking a proactive Customer Service Specialist to manage booking requests, support clients, and ensure smooth operations across its global shipping network. The role involves close collaboration with sales, documentation, and operations teams to deliver a high‑quality customer experience.

Key responsibilities

• Download, process, and forward daily booking requests to customers.
• Respond promptly to all customer inquiries and ensure accurate information on routes, weight, POL/POD, commodities, and temperature.
• Maintain communication with Documentation and Sales teams to coordinate bookings and amendments.
• Record customer specificities to guarantee consistent service delivery.
• Follow up on regular and BID customer bookings to meet expected timelines.
• Provide phone support that exceeds customer expectations.
• Assist customers in problem‑solving and resolve grievances by liaising with internal departments.
• Promote and sell the Pocket PIL tool to migrate volumes from other platforms.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Logistics, or a related field.
• Experience in customer service within the shipping or logistics industry.
• Knowledge of import/export processes and documentation.
• Strong organizational, problem‑solving, communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in English (minimum B1/B2 level).
