Cyber Security Engineer (IT Security Officer)

About the role

We are looking for a Cyber Security Engineer (IT Security Officer) to strengthen our security posture across cloud, CI/CD and Kubernetes environments. The role combines automation‑driven reporting, vulnerability validation, incident response and threat‑hunting activities to protect our platforms and data.

Key responsibilities

• Automate routine reporting and dashboarding to improve security visibility.
• Review VAPT findings, validate vulnerabilities and support remediation planning.
• Refine and maintain incident‑response playbooks, detection rules and runbooks.
• Contribute to compliance documentation and evidence collection.
• Implement security controls across CI/CD pipelines, Kubernetes clusters and cloud services.
• Perform IAM role reviews and enforce least‑privilege access.
• Conduct alert triage, investigations and guided threat‑hunting across SIEM and EDR platforms.
• Deliver proof‑of‑concepts that balance security, performance and maintainability.
• Test new security tools in lab environments and share findings with the team.
• Collaborate with peers and stakeholders to ensure effective execution of security tasks.

Required profile

• Degree in Infocomm Security, Computer Science, Computer/Electronics Engineering or Information Technology.
• Relevant experience or a strong track record in cybersecurity.
• Professional certifications such as OSCP or CISSP (or equivalent).
• Foundational knowledge of security architecture, secure system design and threat modelling.
• Understanding of IAM, secrets management and zero‑trust principles.

Required skills

• Python and Bash scripting for automation and security tooling.
• Experience with SIEM and EDR platforms.
• Securing CI/CD pipelines and Kubernetes environments.
• Cloud‑native security analysis tools and cloud platforms.
• Vulnerability assessment and penetration testing (VAPT) processes.
• Incident response, detection rule creation and threat‑hunting techniques.
• Familiarity with developer‑centric tools such as AI‑assisted coding assistants.
