Cybersecurity Testing Assistant Associate – 2026 Intake

About the role

PwC’s Risk Services is seeking motivated and curious Polytechnic students to join the Cybersecurity Testing Assistant Associate program for the 2026 intake. The role provides hands‑on experience in offensive security, including vulnerability assessments, penetration testing, host configuration reviews, source code reviews, and red‑team engagements, while exploring AI and automation to enhance security workflows.

Key responsibilities

• Support the team in performing security assessments such as VAPT, host configuration review and source code review.
• Assist in penetration testing engagements across web, mobile, infrastructure and other targets.
• Help simulate real‑world adversary tactics in red‑team engagements to test client detection and response capabilities.
• Set up test environments, execute test cases, analyse results and document findings.
• Prepare clear, well‑structured reports and supporting evidence for client deliverables.
• Research emerging cyber threats, vulnerabilities, tools and offensive techniques.
• Explore and apply AI tools and automation to improve security testing processes.

Required profile

• Motivated and curious Polytechnic students with an interest in offensive security.
• Eagerness to learn and develop practical skills in cybersecurity testing.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a professional services environment.
