Cybersecurity Testing Internship – Risk Services

About the role

Join PwC's Risk Services team as a Cybersecurity Testing Intern. You will work on real‑world security projects, gaining hands‑on experience in penetration testing, red teaming, and security assessments while supporting clients to protect their digital assets.

Key responsibilities

• Perform penetration testing to identify and exploit vulnerabilities in client environments.
• Conduct red‑team exercises that simulate adversary tactics, techniques, and procedures.
• Execute cybersecurity assessments, including host configuration reviews, source‑code analysis, architecture reviews, and risk evaluations.
• Document findings and provide actionable recommendations to improve security posture.

Required profile

• Enrolled in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology or a related program at a reputable university or polytechnic.
• Strong foundational knowledge of IT and cybersecurity concepts.
• Motivated, enthusiastic, and eager to develop a professional career in security testing.
• Excellent problem‑solving, critical‑thinking, and communication skills.

Required skills

• Familiarity with security testing tools such as Kali Linux, Covenant, Metasploit, nmap, and Burp Suite.
• Proficiency in scripting languages like Bash and Python.
• Knowledge of penetration‑testing certifications (e.g., CEH, OSCP) is a plus.
• Experience with capture‑the‑flag (CTF) events or published security research is advantageous.
