Dance Instructor

About the role

The Ballet School seeks a passionate Dance Instructor to deliver high‑quality classical ballet classes to students ranging from toddlers to adults across Singapore. You will nurture talent, prepare students for professional pathways, and contribute to the school’s vibrant artistic community.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, prepare and teach stimulating classical ballet lessons for all age groups.
• Guide junior instructors, fostering their teaching and management skills.
• Develop lesson plans, syllabi and conduct teachers’ meetings to update curriculum.
• Demonstrate proper techniques and engage students with clear, concise instruction.
• Identify individual student needs and support their dance development.
• Prepare students for annual dance examinations and performances.
• Participate in professional development programmes and school events.
• Create choreography, select music and coordinate costumes for the annual student production.

Required profile

• RAD Intermediate Certificate of Achievement, Dance Diploma, or equivalent professional dance experience.
• CBTS (RAD) or Dance Degree qualifications are advantageous.
• At least a Dance Diploma or a Bachelor’s degree in any field.
• Minimum of 1 year teaching experience in the RAD syllabus (preferred).
• Independent, self‑driven with strong interpersonal and communication skills.
• Professional appearance and demeanor at all times.
