Data Analyst

About the role

The Data Analyst will turn raw data into actionable insights that support strategic and operational decisions across the organisation. Working with modern data platforms such as Databricks, the role combines data extraction, analysis, visualisation and reporting to enable data‑driven strategies.

Key responsibilities

• Extract, clean and transform data from multiple sources using SQL and Databricks.
• Develop and maintain scalable data models and datasets for business intelligence.
• Build interactive dashboards and reports with Tableau and/or Power BI.
• Perform exploratory data analysis to uncover patterns, anomalies and improvement opportunities.
• Collaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and deliver analytical solutions.
• Support data validation, reconciliation and quality checks.
• Automate recurring reporting processes and optimise data workflows.
• Document data definitions, business rules and reporting logic for governance.

Required skills

• SQL for data querying and transformation.
• Databricks or similar data platforms.
• Tableau and/or Power BI for dashboard development.
• Python (including Pandas and PySpark) for data analysis.
• Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Knowledge of ETL/ELT processes and data pipeline concepts.
