Data Center Engineer – Facilities Management

About the role

The Data Center Engineer will ensure the reliability and performance of critical infrastructure within a high‑availability data centre environment. You will work closely with the building landlord to keep power, cooling, fire safety and cabling systems operating at peak efficiency.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and maintain UPS, generator, HVAC, fire suppression, and structured cabling systems.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance with the building landlord and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
• Respond to alarms, troubleshoot incidents, and drive timely resolution, including on‑call duties outside regular hours.
• Document incidents, track them to closure, and produce monthly performance and root‑cause reports.
• Enforce physical security procedures and support emergency repair coordination with vendors.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of experience in data centre facilities management.
• Proven ability to work in a 24 × 7 high‑pressure environment with on‑call responsibilities.
• Experience in financial‑institution data centre operations is preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
