Data Center Technician

About the role

JLL is hiring a Data Center Technician in Singapore, reporting to the Data Center Operation Site Lead. The technician supports the day-to-day operation of data centres and critical facilities, troubleshoots issues, manages vendors and contractors, and coordinates incident management.

Key responsibilities

• Lead a team of contractors or vendors and support daily data centre operations
• Perform data centre operations and inspections, monitoring infrastructure systems, the DC environment and facilities
• Monitor alerts on critical facilities and infrastructure systems and escalate when needed
• Handle incident management and escalation for facility and system downtime
• Manage and administer service desk operations
• Liaise with UOB business units on utilities, building services, facilities and systems issues
• Assist in planning and executing disaster recovery activities
• Keep building records, licenses and permits properly documented and ensure procedures and service levels are followed
• Review data centre operations periodically, report gaps and issues, and prepare monthly reports for the data centre and service desk
• Maintain the site asset database in line with CMMS requirements

Required profile

• Diploma in Computer Science or equivalent
• Data Centre certifications such as Certified Data Centre Professional
• At least 3 years' experience in data centre operations, facilities monitoring and management
• Familiarity with data centre facilities including CRAC, fire suppression, water detection and UPS systems
• Basic understanding of MEP systems
