Data Engineer (LLM, ML or GenAI Familiar)

About the role

Assurity Trusted Solutions (ATS), a wholly owned subsidiary of GovTech, is looking for a Data Engineer to support the design, development and deployment of data pipelines that power business insights and emerging AI use cases. The role focuses on building scalable data workflows, optimising data models for analytics and supporting the integration of Generative AI (GenAI) applications in production. The selected person joins as a direct employee until 30 November 2028, subject to extension.

Key responsibilities

• Design, build and maintain ETL/ELT pipelines using Databricks (PySpark, SQL) on AWS-based data platforms.
• Develop and optimise data models and tables to support BI tools such as Tableau and internal reporting.
• Work with data scientists and AI engineers to operationalise GenAI models, including orchestrating data dependencies, prompt stores and inference pipelines.
• Implement monitoring, version control and quality standards across ETL workflows and data schemas.
• Collaborate with business teams to turn data requirements into scalable engineering solutions.
• Ensure data security and compliance with organisational and regional guidelines.

Required profile

• 3+ years of experience in data engineering or a similar technical role.
• Hands-on experience with Tableau or other BI/reporting tools.
• Familiarity with ML, GenAI or LLM applications, such as deploying models via API, integrating embedding stores or managing text/chat pipelines.
• Excellent problem-solving, communication and documentation skills.
