Data Migration & Reporting Test Analyst (Contract)

About the role

U3 INFOTECH is seeking a contract Data Migration & Reporting Test Analyst to support data migration and reporting validation across its platforms. The role involves working with large datasets, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with business analysts to verify that migration outcomes meet functional requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute SQL, Python, and/or SAS scripts for data extraction, validation, and root‑cause analysis.
• Analyse source‑to‑target data mappings, transformation logic, calculations and business rules.
• Review BRDs, FSDs, user stories and acceptance criteria to define testing scope.
• Design test scenarios, cases, data sets and execution plans for migration, reporting and business process validation.
• Conduct UAT, regression, retesting and parallel‑run testing activities.
• Perform source‑to‑target reconciliation and validate migrated datasets, dashboards, KPIs and report outputs against legacy systems.
• Identify, reproduce and document defects with evidence, root‑cause analysis and impact assessment.
• Support reconciliation sign‑off, testing sign‑off and production readiness.

Required profile

• Strong proficiency in SQL with experience in Python or SAS for data manipulation.
• Hands‑on experience in data migration, data‑warehouse or data‑lake testing and BI/reporting validation.
• Demonstrated ability to work with large datasets and perform detailed source‑to‑target reconciliation.
• Familiarity with Agile and Waterfall delivery methodologies.
• Excellent attention to detail and analytical problem‑solving skills.
