Data Protection Associate – Privacy & Compliance

About the role

PwC’s Data Protection Office is seeking an Associate to support the DPO team in developing guidance, monitoring compliance and safeguarding data across the firm. You will work on privacy and data‑protection initiatives, helping clients and internal stakeholders build a strong data culture.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in implementing global data‑protection policies and drafting local guidance.
• Conduct privacy and data‑protection compliance reviews and address potential issues.
• Support investigations of data incidents or privacy complaints, including reporting and remedial actions.
• Participate in data‑protection control reviews as part of technology risk assessments.
• Provide data‑protection consultations and develop training material.
• Prepare periodic internal and external reports and maintain content on internal data‑protection portals.
• Contribute to ad‑hoc projects related to privacy and compliance.

Required profile

• At least 1 year of experience in data governance, data privacy, data risk, IT security or IT audit.
• Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with attention to detail.
• Excellent communication skills and confidence to interact with all staff levels.
• Resilient, positive attitude and willingness to learn and deliver quality results.
• Good written English is a plus.
