Data Science Analyst - Group Finance Analytics (Contract)

About the role

SingHealth is hiring a contract Associate Principal/Senior/Analyst for its Group Finance Analytics team. The role champions new data science techniques and delivers analytics projects from planning through prototyping, testing, implementation and publication. It sits within the Value Driven Analytics Research (VADAR) initiative, supporting researchers' data needs and related commercial activities.

Key responsibilities

• Develop new data science techniques and deliver analytics projects from planning to publication.
• Identify and build core data science components, construct dedicated databases and computing environments, and explore and visualise complex data sets to give business insights.
• Work on data analytics projects commissioned by SingHealth institutions, giving recommendations based on clinical, operational and financial analysis.
• Collaborate with stakeholders across value/bundle care, population health, clinical quality and finance offices.
• Provide technical expertise to researchers and support RFPs and related commercial activities.
• Senior analysts also guide and mentor lower-level team members and influence key stakeholders.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Statistics, Mathematics, Computer Science/Engineering, Business Analytics or another quantitative discipline.
• Preferably 2 to 5 years of relevant experience.
• Meticulous, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• A team player who can also work independently in a fast-paced environment.

Required skills

• Advanced understanding of statistical modelling, machine learning and simulation modelling.
• Algorithms and coding with tools such as R, Python and SQL.
• Good understanding of MATLAB, SPSS and STATA.
