DC Operations Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Data Centre Operations Engineer to support the day‑to‑day operations and facilities of a next‑generation GPU/AI data centre. You will work with mission‑critical infrastructure that powers AI and high‑performance computing workloads, gaining exposure to both traditional and liquid‑cooled GPU systems.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to operational incidents, resolve or escalate according to severity, impact and SLA.
• Perform hands‑on activities on electrical, air‑cooling and liquid‑cooling systems.
• Monitor physical health and operating conditions of GPU and data‑centre infrastructure.
• Conduct visual inspections of servers, CDUs and related equipment.
• Support server troubleshooting together with remote engineering teams.
• Coordinate access and security clearance for vendors and visitors.
• Ensure vendor compliance with safety, security and data‑centre operating requirements.
• Contribute to continuous improvement of operational processes for GPU‑oriented environments.
• Monitor critical facilities infrastructure such as power, electrical, air and liquid cooling, leakage detection, environmental controls and BMS.
• Coordinate preventive maintenance, planned shutdowns and infrastructure works with internal and external stakeholders.
• Maintain accurate documentation and prepare operational and facilities reports.
• Identify potential safety, operational and infrastructure risks.
• Support capacity and operational planning for high‑density GPU environments.

Required profile

• Diploma or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline.
• Good understanding of mission‑critical data‑centre infrastructure, including electrical and mechanical systems, power and cooling, fire protection and safety systems, and Building Management Systems (BMS).
• Experience in equipment maintenance and supporting maintenance activities.
