Defence Sales Manager APAC

About the role

Alta Ares is seeking a Defence Sales Manager to lead commercial development across the Asia‑Pacific region. Based in Singapore, you will build a sales pipeline from scratch across Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand and Southeast Asia, positioning the company as the AI‑enabled defence partner of choice.

Key responsibilities

• Own and drive the full APAC sales pipeline across priority markets, including Japan, South Korea, Australia, New Zealand, Singapore and broader Southeast Asia.
• Lead qualification, opportunity shaping, proposal development and contract negotiations for ISR, C‑UAS, autonomy and AI programmes.
• Identify and pursue relevant procurement vehicles such as AUKUS Pillar II, Japan’s counter‑drone programmes, South Korea’s defence AI initiatives and Singapore’s C‑UAS requirements.
• Convert demonstrations, pilot engagements and proof‑of‑concept deployments into scalable, long‑term contracts.
• Maintain accurate pipeline forecasting and deal tracking, reporting regularly to senior leadership.
• Build and maintain senior‑level relationships with military end‑users, procurement officials and MOD programme managers across APAC.
• Engage with regional defence primes and industrial partners as teaming and channel partners.

Required profile

• Proven experience in defence sales or related high‑tech aerospace markets.
• Established network of contacts within APAC military and defence procurement circles.
• Ability to operate autonomously with significant ownership of the sales process.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills, capable of influencing senior stakeholders.
• Willingness to travel extensively across the region.
