Demi Chef – Skirt (Food & Beverage)

About the role

We are seeking a motivated Demi Chef to join our kitchen team at a premier Marriott hotel in Singapore. In this full‑time position you will support the Chef in preparing high‑quality dishes, managing kitchen operations, and ensuring a seamless dining experience for our guests.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare special meals, cold foods, and substitute items according to recipes and presentation standards.
• Regulate temperature of ovens, broilers, grills, and roasters; monitor food quality and quantity.
• Pull items from freezer storage, thaw safely, and maintain accurate food logs.
• Communicate menu specials, out‑of‑stock items, and excess food usage to service staff and the Chef.
• Assist with hiring, training, scheduling, and performance coaching of kitchen staff.
• Follow all safety, security, and company policies; report maintenance needs and incidents.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance and uphold confidentiality of proprietary information.

Required profile

• Technical, trade or vocational school degree in culinary arts or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of relevant kitchen experience.
• No prior supervisory experience required.
