Deputy Director, Bus Information Systems

About the role

The Land Transport Authority (LTA) is recruiting a Deputy Director for its Bus Information Systems. You will lead the planning, development, implementation and operation of mission-critical bus systems that support Singapore's public bus network, covering fleet management, bus operations, passenger information, data analytics, cybersecurity and digital transformation. You will also set technology strategy, partner with public transport operators, vendors and government agencies, and oversee project governance, cybersecurity compliance and system lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the strategy, planning, development, implementation and maintenance of bus information systems, including fleet management, passenger information and data management systems.
• Drive digital transformation by adopting emerging technologies.
• Set technology roadmaps, system architectures and operational standards for reliability, scalability, interoperability and future readiness.
• Manage vendors, contracts and stakeholders, including public transport operators, system integrators and technology providers.
• Oversee cybersecurity governance and compliance for OT and IT systems, working closely with LTA IT teams.
• Direct system operations, service performance, incident response, problem management and business continuity planning.
• Use operational and business data to monitor performance and improve systems.
• Advise senior management on technology investments, risks, innovation and operational improvements.

Required profile

• Knowledge in Information Technology, Engineering, Information Systems, Data Analytics or a related discipline.
• At least 10 years of relevant experience in ICT, transportation technology, systems engineering, digital transformation or related fields, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
• Experience leading multidisciplinary teams and large-scale technology programmes.
• Experience in public transport systems or operational technology is an advantage.
