Deputy Director, Cyber Threat Intelligence

About the role

The Deputy Director leads and manages the team that provides Cyber Threat Intelligence to protect the Telecommunications and Media sectors and supports national cybersecurity efforts under the vision and mission of IMDA. The position is based in IMDA's Mapletree Business City office.

Key responsibilities

• Guide the team in researching and analysing emerging cybersecurity threats affecting the Telecommunications and Media sectors, covering attack techniques, vulnerabilities, exploits, detection rules and signatures (e.g. Yara, Snort).
• Produce and disseminate regular and ad-hoc threat intelligence reports, including advisories and alerts to operators, following Standard Operating Procedures.
• Supervise Security Engineers so that implemented systems and technologies meet operational needs and IT standards.
• Plan and build an Incident/Alert management system and a Threat Intelligence Platform integrated with intelligence sources, synthesising data across sectors for dissemination and response.

Required profile

• Degree in Information Security, Technology, Computer Science or Engineering.
• 10 years or more of experience in enterprise cyber security incident investigation, digital forensics or cyber threat intelligence, leading teams.
• Experience preparing and presenting threat briefings to senior management, operations and customers.
• Experience publishing cyber threat, campaign or vulnerability exploit research.
• Knowledge of telecommunications, broadcast, media equipment and technologies and enterprise environments.
• Relevant certifications such as GIAC GCFA, GREM, GCFE, GCIH or CREST CCTIM, CRTIA, CPTIA.
