Deputy Director, Group Finance

About the role

The Deputy Director, Group Finance will act as the Business Finance Lead for the Project Management Business and Global Business Function of SJ Group. Reporting to senior leadership, the role partners with the Chief Executive, Project Management and Global Business Leader to shape financial strategy, drive performance and create value across multiple regions.

Key responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership and direction to the global finance function of the assigned business line.
• Partner with C‑suite and regional leaders to optimise financial performance and support strategic decisions.
• Lead budgeting, forecasting and planning processes, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives.
• Oversee business performance reviews, financial analysis, risk identification and opportunity assessment across regions.
• Ensure timely, accurate financial reporting in accordance with IFRS/GAAP and local regulations.
• Manage cash flow, capital structure, risk management and funding strategies.
• Support finance transformation initiatives such as ERP upgrades, automation and reporting standardisation.
• Lead, mentor and develop a team of finance professionals.

Required profile

• Proven senior finance leadership experience, preferably in a global or multi‑regional environment.
• Strong track record of partnering with executive teams to drive business growth.
• Experience overseeing budgeting, forecasting, financial reporting and performance analysis.
• Ability to assess financial risks, identify improvement areas and recommend actionable solutions.
• Demonstrated capability to lead finance transformation projects and manage ERP implementations.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
