Desktop Support Engineer – HFT / Hedge Fund

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Desktop Support Engineer to provide high‑touch, business‑facing technology support to front‑office users, executives and other employees in a fast‑paced hedge‑fund environment.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver high‑touch technology support to front‑office users, executives and business stakeholders.
• Own incidents and service requests through to resolution, coordinating with relevant support teams.
• Install, configure, maintain and troubleshoot Windows 10/11 desktops, laptops, workstations and peripherals.
• Support Microsoft 365, Active Directory, Exchange Online, endpoint management and identity‑access processes.
• Provide remote‑access support for Citrix, Azure Virtual Desktop, VPN and virtual workspace technologies.
• Support business‑critical applications and market‑data platforms such as Bloomberg, FactSet and LSEG/Reuters.
• Troubleshoot networking components including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, wireless and VPN services.
• Manage mobile devices via Intune, MobileIron, iOS and Android platforms.
• Support collaboration tools like Zoom, Webex, Microsoft Teams, Cisco VoIP and meeting‑room solutions.
• Maintain asset inventories, documentation, knowledge‑base articles and operational best practices.
• Utilise PowerShell, SCCM, Intune, BeyondTrust and other endpoint tools to improve processes.
• Participate in after‑hours support, occasional weekend work and inter‑office travel.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of hands‑on desktop, end‑user or trade‑floor support experience in a fast‑paced enterprise setting.
• Previous experience within a hedge fund, asset management, trading, investment banking or similar financial‑services environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to manage high‑priority incidents with stakeholders.
