About the role
Avensys is seeking a motivated Desktop Support Engineer to join its IT team in Singapore. The role involves providing Level 1 and Level 2 support to end‑users, ensuring smooth operation of desktops, laptops, printers and related peripherals.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver Level 1/Level 2 technical support for desktops, laptops, printers and other peripherals.
- Install, configure and troubleshoot hardware and software components.
- Maintain and support Windows operating systems, Active Directory and Microsoft Office 365 environments.
- Document all support activities, incidents and resolutions in the ticketing system.
- Provide both on‑site and remote assistance to employees as required.
- Escalate complex issues to senior IT staff or appropriate teams.
Required profile
- At least 1 year of hands‑on experience in IT support or help‑desk roles.
- Strong troubleshooting abilities and clear communication skills.
- Solid understanding of desktop hardware, software and basic networking concepts.
Required skills
- Windows operating systems
- Windows Server
- Active Directory
- Microsoft Office 365
- TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS
- Familiarity with ticketing tools such as Jira, ServiceNow or Freshservice
- Printers, mobile devices and hardware repair
