DevOps SRE Engineer

About the role

The DevOps SRE Engineer will drive automation, reliability and scalability of critical infrastructure and applications. You will champion infrastructure‑as‑code, build robust SRE tools and enhance CI/CD pipelines while supporting messaging platforms such as Kafka and MQ.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop and implement advanced SRE tooling and automation using Python or Java.
• Lead the adoption and improvement of CI/CD pipelines with tools like Jenkins and GitLab CI.
• Monitor, troubleshoot and optimise system performance, performing root‑cause analysis and preventive automation.
• Collaborate with development and operations teams to define SLOs, ensure architecture scalability and disaster‑recovery readiness.
• Provide secondary support for Kafka and MQ, including administration, configuration and performance tuning.
• Conduct architectural reviews, remediate network vulnerabilities and guide teams on security and compliance best practices.

Required profile

• 3–6 years of progressive experience in DevOps, SRE or technical infrastructure, preferably in a banking environment.
• Strong communication skills and ability to work across multiple teams.
• Familiarity with ITIL processes and agile project management.
