DevSecOps Engineer

About the role

Kyndryl is looking for a DevSecOps Engineer to design, automate and maintain secure, scalable and resilient infrastructure and deployment pipelines. The role combines cloud platforms, automation, security best practices and modern DevOps methodologies in an agile, collaborative environment.

Key responsibilities

• Develop automation and processes so teams can deploy, manage, scale and monitor applications in data centers and cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot system and application issues and take part in on-call escalations for critical incidents.
• Take ownership of end-to-end infrastructure and security solutions across the organization.
• Deploy and manage monitoring tools, and implement configuration management and automated disaster recovery.
• Provision virtual machines, databases, containers and licenses, and configure CI/CD pipelines with streamlined change management.
• Build scripts and automation tools for build, integration and deployment, and automate configuration across development, QA and production.
• Implement security practices, threat and risk assessments, vulnerability assessments, system hardening and secure configurations.

Required profile

• Degree or diploma in Computer Science, Computer or Electronics Engineering, Information Technology or a related discipline.
• Strong understanding of SDLC, TDD, CI and CD.
• Experience with high availability, high performance, high-security multi-data center systems and hybrid cloud environments.
• Experience with Git, public cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud), automated provisioning tools (Ansible, Terraform, Puppet, Vagrant), virtualization (KVM, VMware, Hyper-V), Docker, Kubernetes and CNCF tools (Prometheus, Helm, ArgoCD, Istio, Gatekeeper, Crossplane).
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, BitBucket, ArgoCD), observability tools, disaster recovery, backups and RPM-based packaging.

Required skills

• Proficiency in at least three scripting languages (Bash, PowerShell, Python, Go).
• Hands-on experience with Git and modern branching workflows.
• Strong troubleshooting skills across system resources and application stacks.
