Digital Business Analyst - Regulatory, Risk and Compliance (Financial Services)

About the role

PwC Risk Services, part of its Digital Services function, is hiring a Senior Associate Digital Business Analyst for its Regulatory, Risk and Compliance practice, focused on the financial services domain (banking, insurance, etc.). The role combines technical delivery with a business development element: it takes part in pre-sales and RFP processes and may move to delivering the services sold after the sale. It sits within the team responsible for translating client business needs into systems specifications and supporting banking and regulatory platforms.

Key responsibilities

• Gather and document user requirements and user stories through deep-dive sessions with end users, including gap assessments, and communicate them to system analysts, developers and external vendors.
• Provide user acceptance and system integration testing strategies and test cases, assist clients in testing, and highlight defects so critical issues are fixed before production rollout.
• Lead the translation of client business requirements into systems specifications and implement banking platforms such as core banking, AML/CFT, trade and payment systems.
• Take part in pre-sales and RFP processes, and act as a trusted advisor post-sale.
• Support project management: project plans, status updates, stakeholder management, issue and risk management, and milestone tracking.
• Work with Finance, Risk, Operations and Compliance, and liaise with internal and external stakeholders on interdependencies between projects.

Required profile

• University degree or equivalent in Information Technology or Finance/Accounting.
• 3-5 years' experience, ideally in consulting, IT or with banking/financial applications and platforms.
• Experience in the financial services industry (banking, insurance).
• Good command of written and spoken English, strong project management and organisational skills.
• Comfortable presenting solutions to client executives and influencing stakeholders to adopt digital solutions.

Required skills

• Full SDLC experience (waterfall/agile) and experience with technical and solution design documentation.
• Building system implementation roadmaps, analysing data and regulatory requirements, and supporting multiple financial services projects.
• Preferred: experience with TOM design, process design, change management and project management; experience with risk (AML/CFT), compliance process design and regulatory reporting.
• Preferred: experience with technology vendors in regulatory risk and compliance, and with AWS/Azure/VMware; relational databases, SQL or Python; Microsoft Excel (VBA), Visio, Word, PowerPoint, Access.
