Digital Tax Business Analyst / Developer (AS/SE)

About the role

PwC's Digital Tax unit brings together tax and technology subject matter experts who transform and automate business processes in areas such as corporate income tax, transfer pricing and goods and services tax. The role sits at Associate level and involves working on tax technology strategy and solutions, partnering with clients and internal stakeholders to turn data into value.

Key responsibilities

• Partner with internal stakeholders and clients to show the value of their data through analytics and visualisation.
• Develop predictive modelling, statistics, data mining and other data analysis techniques to extract insights from data.
• Analyse data to develop new products, improve product development, marketing and business strategies.
• Build, use and maintain predictive and LLM models to identify business outcomes, measure risk and optimise user experience.
• Use data and models to design risk mitigation strategies for clients while preserving user experience.
• Manage end-to-end projects, clarifying requirements and devising research approaches.
• Stay up to date with current business and industry trends.

Required profile

• Degree in a quantitative field (Data Science, Computer Science, Applied Statistics, Mathematics, etc.).
• At least 2-3 years of working experience.
• Experience developing end-to-end solutions and in statistical and data mining techniques.
• Adequate experience in a data analytics role within a financial or professional services firm, or in an engineering capacity.
• Thorough written and verbal communication skills, able to explain complex ideas to clients and internal staff.

Required skills

• Statistical modelling, algorithms, data mining and machine learning.
• Programming in SQL, Python and cloud platforms.
• Familiarity with LLMs is preferred.
