Digital Tax Cloud Architect Manager

About the role

PwC’s Digital Tax team is looking for a seasoned Cloud Architect to lead the design, implementation and operation of cloud‑based infrastructure that supports tax‑technology solutions. The role sits at the intersection of tax expertise and modern cloud engineering, helping clients automate corporate tax, transfer pricing and GST processes.

Key responsibilities

• Design, deploy and manage Azure cloud environments, including Azure Kubernetes Service (AKS) and Azure Container Instances (ACI).
• Implement and optimise Web Application as a Service (WAAS) solutions for high‑availability delivery of tax web applications.
• Monitor and maintain network devices, servers, storage and other infrastructure components to ensure optimal performance.
• Establish backup, disaster‑recovery and failover procedures to guarantee system reliability.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional IT and tax teams to support application deployments and system integrations.
• Identify, troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure incidents and escalated technical issues.
• Plan and execute infrastructure upgrades, technology refreshes and security hardening initiatives.

Required profile

• Proven experience as a Cloud Architect or senior infrastructure engineer.
• Strong background in designing, implementing and maintaining enterprise‑scale IT solutions.
• Experience working in a tax‑technology or professional services environment is a plus.
