Digital Tax Cloud Architect (Manager)

About the role

PwC's Digital Tax team combines tax and technology subject matter experts to transform and automate business processes such as corporate income tax, transfer pricing and goods and services tax, using off-the-shelf applications and bespoke products. The firm is looking for an experienced Cloud Architect to join its Digital Tax unit, a role critical to the reliability, security and efficiency of the organisation's technology systems.

Key responsibilities

• Design, implement and manage networks, servers and related technologies for seamless connectivity and performance.
• Maintain IT infrastructure, including network devices, servers, storage systems and hardware/software components.
• Ensure high availability through backup, disaster recovery and failover procedures.
• Build and manage Azure CaaS solutions (AKS, ACI or other container services) and deploy, configure and optimise WAAS solutions.
• Collaborate with other IT teams on application deployment and system integration projects.
• Troubleshoot escalated infrastructure issues and plan infrastructure upgrades and technology refreshes.
• Enforce security best practices and document infrastructure configurations, processes and procedures.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Proven IT infrastructure management experience, including network administration, server management and systems integration.
• Technical solution architect experience delivering end-to-end IT projects on cloud or on-premises.
• Certifications such as Microsoft Azure or AWS Certified Solutions Architect, and experience with hybrid cloud environments and DevOps.
• Familiarity with ITIL or other IT service management frameworks.
