Director, AI Transformation

About the role

Emerald Clinical Trials is seeking a Director, AI Transformation to lead the enterprise‑wide adoption of artificial intelligence and generative AI technologies. The role will shape the AI strategy, align initiatives with business goals, and ensure compliance with regulatory and GxP requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a comprehensive AI and Generative AI roadmap across all business functions.
• Identify, assess, and prioritize AI use cases to drive operational efficiency and business value.
• Lead transformation projects from concept through implementation, governance, and value realization.
• Establish AI governance, risk management, security, privacy, and ethical frameworks.
• Collaborate with Quality, Compliance, Security, and Legal teams to meet regulatory standards.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, Business or related field.
• Extensive experience leading digital or AI‑focused transformation initiatives at an enterprise level.
• Proven track record of delivering AI and Generative AI strategies.
• Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, especially with executive leadership.
• Experience in regulated industries such as healthcare, life sciences, or CRO environments is highly desirable.
