Director, Business Development JAPAC

About the role

Braze is seeking a seasoned leader to head its Business Development efforts across the JAPAC region. Based in Singapore, you will drive outbound pipeline growth, shape regional strategy, and partner with sales, marketing, and partnership teams to expand market coverage.

Key responsibilities

• Lead, coach, and inspire a high‑performing team of BDRs, Senior BDRs, BD Specialists and first‑line leaders.
• Recruit, onboard, and manage performance to foster an inclusive, results‑driven culture.
• Design and execute outbound pipeline strategies for Scale, Enterprise, and Industry segments across Asia, ANZ, Gulf and Japan.
• Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual pipeline generation targets.
• Collaborate closely with Marketing, Sales and Partnerships to align tactics and maximize revenue impact.
• Standardize and scale pipeline processes, acting as the regional ambassador for global BD standards.

Required profile

• Proven track record in senior business development or sales leadership, preferably within SaaS or technology.
• Demonstrated ability to build and scale high‑performing teams in fast‑growth environments.
• Strong analytical mindset with a data‑driven approach to pipeline management.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills across multicultural teams.
• Willingness to travel regularly to key markets such as Sydney, Dubai and Tokyo.
