Director, Business Services IT Procurement

About the role

DePuy Synthes is recruiting a Director, Business Services IT Procurement, a hybrid position primarily based in New Brunswick, NJ (USA), with alternate locations possibly considered in Raritan, NJ; West Chester, PA; Palm Beach Gardens, FL; Raynham, MA; Warsaw, IN; Loughbeg, Ireland; or Singapore. The role leads global procurement for Business Services categories (Fleet, Travel & Meetings, Human Resource Services, Corporate Services, Professional Education & Access, Information Technology) and drives Business Engagement across international markets.

Key responsibilities

• Own the global category strategy, sourcing, supplier performance and continuous improvement for Business Services and IT categories, covering approximately $0.XB of spend.
• Develop multi-year category roadmaps using market intelligence, demand analytics and TCO modelling, and lead the global category team.
• Execute sourcing, competitive bidding, negotiations, contracting, implementation and supplier transition, and drive requisition-to-pay adoption with Service Delivery.
• Engage with senior business leaders, Business Engagement Leads, Global Services, Finance, Legal, IT, HR, Risk/Compliance and Service Delivery.
• Build relationships with strategic suppliers, manage supplier performance and innovation, and escalate supplier risk, compliance and service issues.
• Manage a portfolio of procurement initiatives, set governance and decision forums, and oversee policies, SOPs and business principles.
• Lead a team, coach leaders, and build capability in category management, negotiation, supplier management, analytics and change leadership.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree or equivalent preferred.
• 10+ years of experience in procurement, including global category management and technology deployment, preferably in similar industries.
• Proven track record of transforming and leading global procurement organizations in a matrixed environment.
• Experience in a product-oriented, sales/marketing-driven culture; large multinational experience is useful.
• Experience managing large-scale spend and third-party payments across diverse categories.
