Director, Business Unit Operations

About the role

Lead the Business Unit Operations function for Applied Materials in Singapore, driving cross‑functional execution, financial performance and continuous improvement across the division.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cross‑functional execution of division programs to meet objectives and financial goals.
• Manage product portfolio prioritization, budgeting, and OPEX tracking aligned with project plans.
• Drive cost‑of‑goods‑sold (COGS) reduction and ePLC initiatives to achieve gross‑margin, lead‑time and cycle‑time targets.
• Oversee business continuity, crisis management and safety compliance across the business unit.

Required profile

• Broad understanding of systems, theories and practices with strong industry and commercial awareness.
• Proven leadership of managers and ability to develop teams and execute segment/functional strategies.
• Advanced analytical and problem‑solving skills to resolve complex business issues.
• Excellent negotiation and influencing abilities at senior executive level.
