Director, Global Facilities & Construction, South Asia

About the role

Micron is looking for a Director, Global Facilities & Construction for the South Asia region. The role oversees and manages multiple project deliveries for Global Construction projects in the region, reporting to the Senior Director for Global Facilities and Construction. It ensures projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget, and supports other projects or regions as required.

Key responsibilities

• Manage multiple projects based at a Micron facility, developing and implementing the project execution strategy, quality control and cost control.
• Report project progress throughout the project cycle and escalate deviations that could affect the outcome.
• Deliver projects safely, on budget and on schedule, and establish project communication plans between engineering and construction disciplines.
• Work with Global and Site Facilities, Global EHS, Global Procurement, Corporate Finance and external industry agencies and consultants to coordinate design and construction.
• Ensure compliance with company procedures, business conduct and ethics policies, and identify risks to develop realistic delivery plans.
• Coach and mentor team members, and keep internal customers informed of project status and challenges.

Required profile

• Degree in Construction, Building, Project Management, Engineering or Architecture; membership of a major professional body is desirable.
• At least 15 years of experience, including 10 in construction and a minimum of 5 in a managerial role as Senior Project Manager or Director.
• Demonstrable experience managing multi-disciplinary semiconductor projects or other relevant industries is strongly preferred.
• Willingness to travel regularly and to work in a global multicultural team.

Required skills

• Experience in EPCM construction project management.
• Cost and schedule management, and practice in project control mechanisms and commercial and technical risk assessment.
• Ability to read and interpret specifications and drawings.
• Leadership, stakeholder management and communication skills, and ability to coordinate consultants and contractors.
