Director, Manufacturing Science & Technology Engineering

About the role

Alcon is seeking a Director to lead its Manufacturing Science & Technology (MS&T) organization at the Tuas site. The role ensures products meet industry‑standard validated states, oversees scientific oversight of manufacturing processes, and owns the product lifecycle at the site.

Key responsibilities

• Lead and govern site validation activities, ensuring alignment with regulatory expectations and the Site Master Validation Plan.
• Provide product and process stewardship, managing technical issues, risk assessments (pFMEA), and continuous monitoring of critical parameters.
• Oversee product technical and process transfers, including second‑sourcing projects, ensuring timely validation.
• Manage MS&T team development, succession planning, and training programs.
• Coordinate Business Continuity Management and share best practices across divisions.

Required profile

• 10‑15 years of experience in new manufacturing site start‑up, validation, technology transfer, and new product introduction in the medical device industry.
• 7‑10 years of leadership experience building and leading high‑performing teams.
• Strong background in R&D supporting innovation, product development, and commercialization.
