Educational Psychologist

About the role

Total Communication, a centre helping children overcome learning-based challenges, is hiring an Educational Psychologist in Singapore. The psychologist is the first point of contact for students seeking broad psychometric testing of IQ, achievement, attention, adaptive learning and other neuro-developmental challenges. Candidates must have strong basic ability in administering psychometric tests, and additional training for assessments they are unfamiliar with will be provided. The psychologist will also administer programmes such as literacy remediation, cognition development and autism remediation.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct psycho-educational assessments covering developmental, intellectual, behavioural and psychological analysis of children, including screening for school placements
• Develop and implement intervention strategies for clients' developmental, learning, emotional and behavioural issues
• Deliver individual, group or family psychotherapy
• Give talks, training and seminars to schools and other stakeholders when needed
• Train staff and caregivers
• Write case reports, assessment reports and letters to stakeholders
• Market the role to the community

Required profile

• Ideally a Master's degree in Educational or Clinical Psychology
• A self-starter who is willing to work as the only psychologist in the team
