Electrical Engineer – Power Electronics (SMPS)

About the role

XP Power is seeking an Electrical Engineer to own in‑production engineering for switch‑mode power‑supply (SMPS) products. You will drive reliability, quality, cost and manufacturability improvements across global manufacturing sites.

Key responsibilities

• Lead product testing, failure analysis, engineering improvements, and quality/reliability initiatives for SMPS products.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to sustain products throughout their lifecycle.
• Perform debug and verification activities including efficiency, thermal, regulation, transient, protection, EMI pre‑scans and safety tests.
• Develop test plans, conduct hands‑on tests on circuits and components, and generate detailed test reports.
• Drive value engineering, cost reductions and qualify alternate components and suppliers without performance regression.
• Design test systems with hardware and software to enable test automation.
• Conduct FMEA, root‑cause analysis and risk mitigation for critical electrical designs.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Electronics/Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 2 years experience developing, sustaining and testing electronic products, especially power electronics or SMPS.
• Strong ability to read schematics, understand component functions and analyse electrical stresses.
• Hands‑on experience with environmental stress testing, lab equipment and test automation.
• Familiarity with Altium (highly desirable) and Microsoft 365 suite.
• Result‑driven, detail‑oriented and passionate about continuous improvement.
