Electrical Engineer – Singapore

About the role

RED, an expanding international M&E consultancy, is looking for an experienced Electrical Engineer to join its Singapore office. The role involves leading both small and large projects, acting as a client‑facing engineer, and delivering design solutions across data centres, commercial, hotel, retail and hospitality sectors.

Key responsibilities

• Run and coordinate small‑scale projects and contribute to larger assignments.
• Research, develop and design mechanical or electrical installations, systems, equipment and facilities.
• Develop and specify controls, instruments and operating systems for building engineering services.
• Survey, test and report on existing electrical/mechanical installations.
• Prepare specification modifications and ensure engineering calculations and drawings meet industry and legal standards.
• Represent RED at technical meetings with customers, professional teams and contractors.

Required profile

• Licensed or degree‑qualified with experience in international consulting engineering.
• Working towards or holding MCIBSE/MIEE/Chartered Engineer status.
• Experience in specification design/drawing for at least one building type.
• Sound knowledge of health and safety legislation and ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines.
• Commitment to ethical practice following the Ethics Charter and Guidelines.

Required skills

• Proficiency with MS Office, especially Excel.
• Ability to use IT‑based calculation and spreadsheet software.
• Knowledge of BS/SC standards and international design codes.
