Engineer, GQ Ops-Rel Process

About the role

Micron is hiring a GQ Ops-Rel Process Engineer in Singapore. The role covers reliability testing and process control in the lab, including new lab enablement, process of record maintenance and continuous improvement, with support for audits and data-driven corrective actions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead qualification and process buyoff for new equipment or layout changes, coordinating with Facilities and GEL
• Maintain and improve the process of record (POR) for assigned reliability tests, ensuring adherence to SOPs and quality management systems
• Define process windows, control plans and reaction mechanisms to prevent excursions and protect product integrity
• Partner with Automation Engineers to implement error-proofing measures and reduce manual touchpoints
• Support audits by keeping documentation, training records and compliance evidence accurate
• Analyze process performance data, identify trends and drive corrective actions
• Use statistical and AI-assisted techniques, integrating AI tools into daily work to improve efficiency, quality or effectiveness
• Contribute to continuous improvement by testing and sharing AI-enabled enhancements

Required profile

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Mechanical, Electrical & Electronics or a related engineering discipline
• Understanding of semiconductor backend or reliability lab processes
• Familiarity with reliability tests such as thermal/humidity stress, temperature cycling and reflow, and/or device reliability tests such as HTOL, ELFR and HNBTI
• Familiarity with quality systems, process control and audit requirements
• Excellent problem-solving and communication skills, with a mindset focused on continuous improvement
• Candidates with 0-1 year of experience are welcome to apply

Required skills

• Preferred: experience in greenfield lab setup and enablement
• Advantageous: exposure to lab automation and integration with MES or AMHS systems
• Plus: basic scripting or data analysis (Python, SQL, Microsoft Power Platform) and familiarity with AI workflows
• Plus: error-proofing techniques, process optimization, and interest in digitizing workflows with low-code or automation platforms
